Learning built into acts of territorial protocolization

A Lab is a learning module focused on redeploying a developed protocol within a new territorial context. Its form is the classical apprenticeship, run as an accelerated cycle of theory, practice and critique. A conceptual introduction grounds participants in Territorial State Craft and in the technique their deployment requires. From there the work moves to the field, where a full exercise in place-based protocolization transfers know-how mimetically, from the people shaping the discipline at its highest level to those joining it. Labs conclude with a generative critique in which participants assess the limits the local instance revealed in the protocol, and relay their recommendations to Liminal's protocolizers. Labs form the cohorts a young discipline needs most: independent thinkers made in the field, ready to carry the art into territories and institutions of their own.
