Cookie policy
The technical cookies and local storage this website uses, and how to control them.
This policy sets out the cookies and equivalent local storage used on this website, pursuant to the ePrivacy rules (art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC) and the cookie guidelines issued by the Italian Garante on 10 June 2021.
Summary
This website uses solely technical cookies and equivalent local storage, strictly necessary to deliver the service and to maintain authenticated sessions in the Members area.
Cookies and storage used
Public archive (liminalfutures.com). The public pages are served entirely from the Association's own domain, fonts included. The browser and the hosting provider may retain ordinary, short-lived technical entries necessary to serve pages and to defend against abuse.
Members area (following authentication). The Members area is a private application. In order to authenticate the user and maintain the session, it stores strictly necessary items in the browser (authentication tokens and a limited amount of local and session storage, such as the interface theme preference and the current authentication step). These items exist solely to operate the application.
Third-party services, invoked only where required:
- Authentication — the authentication provider sets strictly necessary items to operate passwordless email codes and passkeys.
- Payments — where the dues and billing flow is opened, the payment provider operates on its own pages and sets its own strictly necessary and fraud-prevention cookies therein.
- Bot protection — a privacy-preserving challenge may be run to block automated abuse.
- Embedded video — where a page embeds a video, the embed loads only upon the user's request to play.
Managing cookies
All items are strictly necessary to the functions they support. Cookies and site data may be cleared or blocked through the browser settings; blocking the Members-area items will prevent authentication.
