Summary
Finding Consensus set out to uncover where communities in peri-urban, rural and hyper-peripheral contexts agree on changing climate dynamics and on future-forward policymaking. After a week of online training in survey research, the team collected responses from September 25 to 29, 2024 in seven places — Palestrina, Rocca di Cave, Cave, Castel San Pietro Romano, Zagarolo, Guadagnolo and Capranica Prenestina, with Palestrina, a medium-sized town, and Zagarolo, outside Monti Prenestini, for comparison — then cleaned and analysed the data remotely.
The survey, 31 questions in Italian filled in person and online, gathered more than 200 citizen responses; its findings are summarised in a policy brief by Maria Carla Merlo. It involved local youth and Liminal members in community engagement through a learn-by-doing approach, with GAL Castelli Romani e Monti Prenestini as partner.
